Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment hears requests for variance from requirements of the Zoning Ordinance and Building Code and/or allegations of error and interpretation on decisions to deny a building permit based on failure to meet such requirements. The Board's power and authority is delineated in Section 410.180 of the City of Bridgeton Municipal Code. The Board's decision is final. If the Board decides not to grant the request, the petitioner's recourse is civil court.

The Board is made up of 5 members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers. The Planning Commission agenda is posted on the website calendar one week prior to the meeting. An archive of previous meeting agendas and approved minutes are also available for viewing.
