Municipal Court
The Bridgeton Municipal Court is the judicial branch of city government and is a division of the Circuit Court of St. Louis County, 21st Judicial Circuit. The Court adjudicates traffic and other ordinance violations filed by the Bridgeton Police Department and Code Enforcement Officers.

Court Dates & Location
Court is held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday and the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at the Bridgeton Government Center. Check dates here.
In-Person Proceedings
Presiding Judge Michael Burton has issued a Certificate of Approval for the Municipal Court of the City of Bridgeton allowing for in-person proceedings, following review of the municipality's Continuity of Operations Plan.
Violation Bureau
A Violation Bureau has been established pursuant to Revised Missouri Statute 479.49 of the Supreme Court Rules of the State of Missouri and Local Court rule 69.6 to allow payments without the necessity of a court appearance. All 15 ½, 16 and 17 year old defendant’s must appear in court with a parent.

Payments
Cash, Check or Money Order
Payments are accepted 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violations Bureau window, located in the Bridgeton Government Center.
Checks or money orders are to be made payable to "Bridgeton Municipal Court".
Payments made in full are accepted by mail.
Credit Cards
Credit cards are not accepted at the Violation Bureau window, though they can be made online.
"Plead and Pay" Plead and Pay can be used to pay your traffic ticket online without appearing in court. This feature is only available for Violations Bureau eligible tickets.
"Pay by Web" Pay by Web can be used to pay fines and court costs that have been assessed by the Judge after a court appearance.
Payments must be made in full.
