4th of July Celebration
Fireworks and Evening Festivities at BMAC
7:08 p.m. Inclement Weather Update: currently, we are hopeful to still host the fireworks at approximately 9 p.m. Please check back here or on our facebook page for updates: City of Bridgeton, MO Parks and Recreation. Trilogy has taken the stage and those who are here, are enjoying the music! If you are headed to BMAC, bring a chair instead of a blanket--fields are very wet.
The City of Bridgeton sponsors a fireworks display at the Bridgeton Municipal Athletic Complex (BMAC) at dark (usually shortly before 9 p.m.). The park opens at 6 p.m. for patrons to secure a viewing spot. Public parking is available at Hussmann and other businesses along St. Charles Rock Road. Accessible parking is available with a parking permit obtained through members of the Bridgeton City Council. Parking at BMAC is restricted to permit-holders only.
There will be a concert by the band Trilogy beginning at 6 p.m., and remarks by Bridgeton Mayor Terry Briggs shortly before the fireworks display begins. The band shell will be placed near the entry building to the north side of the complex, between fields 4 and 7.
Outside food and beverages are allowed; however, there is a selection of food vendors and the BMAC concession stands are also open for food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage purchases.
Attendees are welcome to bring in coolers; no glass containers are allowed. Please be respectful of other attendees, and remember, smoking is not allowed in any city facility or park.
New for 2019: Event patrons are encouraged to use the restrooms and concession stand on the north side of the complex. That facility is air conditioned, and provides more restrooms than the older concession stand on the south side of the complex, although that concession stand will remain open. Food vendors have been moved to the north concession stand area; food trucks will remain in their previous location in the parking lot.
Click here for a map of BMAC that details vendor and restroom locations for the event.
2019 BMAC Vendors Include:
Boy Scout Troop # 766 (water, soda, chips, cotton candy, popsicles)
John Calvin Presbyterian Church (Little Jimmy Italian ice)
Ray Ray's Kettle Corn (kettle corn)
Event Food Trucks are:
Kona Ice (shaved ice)
Truck Norris (comfort and classic foods with a twist)
4th of July Parade

The parade ends in the Bridgeton Target store parking lot, with an awards ceremony, complementary beverages provided by the City, and hotdogs provided by the Pattonville Fire Department. Please note, roads along the route will close to non-parade traffic at 9 a.m. that morning.
Parade Entry Information
The City of Bridgeton and the City of Bridgeton Special Events Commission invites you to join us for our annual July 4th Parade. NO ENTRY FEE!
America, Let’s Celebrate! is the theme of Bridgeton’s annual 4th of July parade. Break out your red, white, and blue and honor special Americans and everything that makes up this great nation (i.e., military personnel, charitable organizations, national monuments, states, sports teams, etc.). This year’s winning float will be awarded a $250.00 cash prize, and costume winners will be awarded a $25 gift card. So be creative! Entry forms will be available at the Bridgeton Recreation Center starting mid-March.
We welcome floats, walking groups, marching bands, garage bands, musical groups, and neighbors who want to participate and be a part of our Bridgeton tradition. To be eligible for a trophy, participants must adhere to the parade theme or honor special Americans and anything that makes up this great nation. Entry forms must be turned in to the Bridgeton Recreation Center no later than Monday, June 17, 2019*.
Note: There is absolutely no alcohol consumption allowed in the parade procession.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday July 4th. Please plan accordingly for the summer heat. We will do our best to provide water for marching participants throughout the parade; however it is important to remind your participants to hydrate themselves.
Participants line up no later than 9:00 a.m. along Benedetta and Avery Lane. The parade will launch on Benedetta, turn on to Tideland, turn on Majella then on to Natural Bridge, ending at Target. For your convenience we are enclosing an entry form. There is no entry fee. Additional forms will be available at the Recreation Center mid-March, as well as, the Bridgeton City website at www.bridgetonmo.com under the Parks & Recreation tab.
